Episode 04 - Stories from ATHENA Camp with Cynthia Tostes

Child anesthetist and triathlete, @cynthiatostes, from Belo Horizonte, was not training much, due to work demands, when friends @cintiareisnutri and @elainefloriano said they would participate in the first ATHENA Cycling Camp. At the time, her husband, also a doctor and multi-athlete @raphael_f_silva, was the first to encourage her, saying: ‘you will!’.

Even with little volume, Cynthia managed to overcome all the challenges of the Camp and was particularly touched by the Serra do Rio do Rastro. For the athlete, who has a history of family trauma with the roads, it was surprising to discover courses such as those of Serra Catarinense – and the climbs still left her super motivated to return to training with quality!

If she identified with any of our cyclists? All of them, with their different life experiences and relationships with the bicycle, taught our team a little bit over the three days of the event.

Just this week, the fifth and final episode of our series comes out, with the pair of athletes behind the idea: @marianabandrade and @analidiaborba. Stay tuned!

And, in February / 21, the first of our first ATHENA Family Camp – Serra Catarinense, comes, with a schedule designed for husbands and children as well. Unmissable!
