Today, Brazilian women won two more silver medals, in indoor volleyball and in boxing, lightweight, confirming the historic campaign in the Olympic Games: there were 7 gold, 6 silver and 8 bronze medals, which won the #TimeBrasil to 12th position in the overall medals table, one position above Rio 2016. Brazil tied for the number of gold and silver medals with Canada (11th) and New Zealand (13th), with the tie being broken by the number of medals of bronze, or totals.
Brazilian women won 9 medals in Tokyo, 3 gold, 4 silver and 2 bronze. If they were a country, Brazilian athletes would be in 26th place in the medals table, just behind Denmark and ahead of all Latin American countries. Impressive, right?
